Hi there! I’m Nico Marr, and this is my personal website.
I’m an independent researcher and educator with a background in immunology, microbiology, virology, human genetics, and systems biology. These days, much of my time goes into teaching, and into learning from the open-source community, with a current focus on integrating LLMs and agentic coding tools into biomedical research workflows for exploring data and generating insights. This work supports researchers and community organizations in resource-limited settings, a mission shared with Theme Bio, a nonprofit I co-founded.
I maintain this website to share things I’m working on. Here you can find links to all my publications, tutorials, code, courses I’m developing and teaching, and other resources.
